Privacy Policy

1. Overview

KalTax PH is a free, offline-friendly tax calculator and BIR-form assistant for individuals and small businesses in the Philippines. KalTax PH does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information, and it does not require an account.

2. Information we collect directly

We collect no personal data. The app performs no analytics logging and makes no backend calls.

Data that stays on your device

• Your tax inputs and filled forms. Everything you type — tax calculations, amounts, TINs, names, and filled-in BIR forms — is processed entirely on your device and never sent over the internet by KalTax PH.
• Saved PDFs. When you use "Fill & Export", the completed PDF is written to your device's local storage only. KalTax PH has no access to these files.
• Preferences. Settings such as theme (light/dark) are kept using your device's local storage (localStorage) and are never transmitted.

3. Third-party services we use

To keep the app free, we show advertisements. These services may collect data governed by their own policies.

Google AdMob (ads)

We integrate Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. Google may collect your advertising ID, approximate location, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and how you use the app, to personalize and report on ads.

During local development the app uses Google's sample/test ad IDs; the published release uses live ads. See Google's policy: Google Privacy & Terms and About AdMob ads. To opt out of ad personalization, see Google Ads Settings.

Google Fonts

The app loads the "Inter" and "Montserrat" fonts from fonts.googleapis.com. When your device requests these fonts, Google may briefly see your IP address and User-Agent as permitted by Google Fonts' own privacy practices. No personal information is shared by KalTax PH for this. See Google Privacy & Terms.

Official BIR forms (external links)

The "Download BIR Form (PDF)" button opens the official Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) website in your browser to fetch the latest form. KalTax PH is not responsible for the BIR site's content or privacy practices.

4. How we use your information

KalTax PH has no personal information to use. The app only uses your device's local processing to display calculations, render the BIR form, and (optionally) save a filled PDF to your device.

5. Children

KalTax PH is not directed at children (under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The AdMob ads served through the app use age-appropriate handling consistent with Google's policies.

6. Your rights & how to contact us

Because we do not collect, store, or process your personal data, there is no data for us to correct, export, or delete. If you believe we have treated you differently, or you are an authorized representative acting on behalf of an individual whose data relates to ads shown through this app, please contact us:

Residents of the Philippines may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) if you believe your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) have been violated.

7. Changes to this policy

Any changes will be posted on this page. A "Last updated" note appears at the top of the page. Continued use of KalTax PH after changes means you accept the updated policy.
